Perk up your garden with this fun project

You will need
tin cans
awl
newspaper or dust sheet
PlastiKote Super spray paint
compost
plants

Directions
Make sure the tin cans are clean and dry.

Pierce the bottom of the cans with the awl to make drainage holes.

Spread newspaper in a well-venitlated area or outside. Apply two or three fine coats of PlastiKote Super spray paint to the tin cans, allowing 5-10 minutes between each coat. Always follow usage instructions on the reverse of PlastiKote spray paint cans.
The cans will be touch dry in 30-50 minutes and thoroughly dry in 2-3 hours.

Once completely dry, fill with compost and your choice of plants and position on the patio or create a colourful, vertical planting display by attaching the cans to trellis or weatherboarding.

Tip
When collecting the tin cans for spraying, look for a variety of sizes to create a more interesting display.
