What would be the one thing that you wish you'd known about your home prior to buying it?
You may be one of the lucky few who think your home is perfect and actually, there's nothing you wished you'd known.
However, the vast majority of us are not so lucky. Whether it's noisy neighbours, not having somewhere to park, or even noisy traffic, there will be something ticking them off.
To find out exactly what homeowners wish they had known, California Shutters surveyed 1,000 adults from across the UK - and it seems the competition for parking spaces proved to be the biggest irritation (20%).
Following this was having to deal with noisy neighbours (19%), high renovation costs (13%), and traffic noise (11%).
Having to deal with day-to-day frustrations were the biggest hassle for homeowners, with the majority of us being more clued up about pest issues (4%) or dealing with price depreciation (5%).
The top 10 things UK homeowners wish they'd known before buying their home are:
1. Competition for parking spaces (20%)
2. Noisy neighbours (19%)
3. High cost needed to renovate (13%)
4. Traffic noise (11%)
5. Damp (10%)
6. Expensive running costs (8%)
7. Lack of nearby amenities (8%)
9. Pests (4%)
10. Inability to renovate due to council restrictions or listed status (2%)
Oliver Robertson at California Shutters said: "With all the challenges and decisions to be made when finding and choosing a new home, it's easy to forget about the little things that will impact on your home life day to day".
"Whilst our survey shows most movers have a good awareness of problems like damp and pests prior to moving in to a new home, they can still be caught off guard by other things such as having to fight for parking spaces or deal with noise from next door or traffic from the road".
