The Lidl House of Hortus is a must-visit for gin fans

Posted 10th Oct 2018

We have some exciting news for any gin fans out there.

Lidl has announced the launch of the House of Hortus - the first ever pop-up gin club from a UK retailer – and it’s set to go on a nationwide tour, drawing on the cult-favourite Hortus Gin range.

Visitors to the Lidl House of Hortus will enjoy both new and existing samples of the supermarket's Hortus Gin range, which will be served by a team of Hortus-Culturists and mixologists, a sure way to give guests a customised gin and botanical pairing experience.

The experience begins in the Pink Gin Liqueur Lounge, where visitors will get to sample Raspberry, Rhubarb & Ginger and Rose & Pomegranate.

As they continue through the experience, visitors will pass through the Botanical Garden, at which point they will learn about gin pairings, and with it, enjoy a free-pour serve from the signature range, including Hortus Artisan Dry Gin; Oriental Spiced Gin; or Citrus Garden Gin.

To finish off, attendees will head to the Spirits in the Sky bar, which comprises a central circular bar along with a starry night sky, making it the perfect place to enjoy a drink with the brand's broader ranges and to get you feeling the festive spirit.

The House of Hortus will open its doors on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th October at 19 Greek Street, Soho, London, before continuing to Queen Street, Cardiff, on Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th November, before finishing at Castle Street, Edinburgh on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th November.

The Lidl House of Hortus is a free, ticketed event - you can book tickets here.
