KitchenAid's latest colour launch, marking its 100th anniversary, has got us all feeling blue…
We're halfway through the Great British Bake Off, so it's probably fair to say that KitchenAid envy has well and truly set in!
But did you know that KitchenAid is celebrating its 100th birthday this year?
That's right, those dreamy stand mixers first launched in 1908, after the Ohio-based engineer, Herbert Johnston, saw the backbreaking work of the everyday baker and sought to better it.
With names such as Henry Ford, John Barrymore, Ginger Rogers and Julia Childs all declaring the brilliance of this fantastic gadget, the popularity of the KitchenAid soared, yet Johnston was only able to make four machines per day!
In celebration of this landmark event, KitchenAid has launched a brand new colour – Misty Blue!
Featuring a dreamy powder blue design, this stand mixer also comes with a 4.8L white hobnail bowl. Made from titanium reinforced ceramic, it is chip, crack, and stain-resistant, plus microwave, oven, freezer, and dishwasher-safe! Meaning you can soften butter, temper chocolate, or quickly cool your mix with ease.
The Artisan 4.8L tilt-head stand mixer in Misty Blue is available for £699 from Lakeland, John Lewis, independent cookshops nationwide and www.kitchenaid.co.uk.
