Colour Block Coasters

If you're in need of some new coasters, why not try making these stylish colour block pieces?

You will need:

Masking tape
Sponges
Acrylic paint
A set of unfinished wooden coasters
Clear varnish

Directions

1. Cover half of the hexagon with a layer of masking tape. Overlap this with another layer of tape - you should end up with a rhombus shape within the hexagon.

2. Apply paint to the surface and leave to dry before removing the masking tape.

3. Repeat these steps for the other sections of the coaster.

4. Cover the coasters with a coat of clear varnish to protect them.
