You will need

Low tack tape

Quick Drying International Floor Paint in Lace and Navy Blue

natural bristle paintbrush or roller

ruler

soft pencil

Directions
Clean the floor thoroughly to remove all traces of dirt, dust, grease and other contaminants. Before painting, use low tack masking tape to protect skirting boards and door frames.

Following the instructions on the tin, apply Quick Drying International Floor Paint in Lace, over the whole area, using a natural bristle paintbrush or roller. Leave overnight to harden – although it will be touch dry in one hour and over-coatable in six hours.

Measure out a pattern with a ruler and soft pencil and then mask it off using tape.

Apply the Navy Blue into the area that has been masked off to create the chequered lines. Leave for one hour or until tacky.

Score the inside edges of the tape gently with a sharp knife then peel off to reveal the lines below.
