How to install a floating shelf

You will need
Pencil
Spirit level
Tape measure
Hammer drill
10mm masonary drill bit
Grey rawlplugs
10mm open ended spanner

Directions

step 1

Choose where your shelf is to be installed on your wall and mark the centre line of where it will be.





Step2


Mark a level line on the wall using the spirit level.




Step3

Measure from one end of the shelf to each of the bracket holes.





Step4

Transfer measurements onto the wall.







step 5

Using the hammer drill and the 10mm drill bit, drill each mark 60mm deep and with the back end of the drill lifted approxamatly 5 degrees (lift handle of drill 20mm while drilling).

 

step 6


Insert the grey rawlplugs, push in until flush with face of wall.




step 7
Screw bracket into rawlplugs using 10mm open ended spanner or adjustable.

 

 

 

step 8

Slide shelf half way onto brackets and adjust by rotating brackets using 10mm spanner.

Once level push the shelf all the way onto brackets.


Your new floating shelf is now fitted.
