If you’re a fan of sweet treats, then this is one for you. This weekend, a unique Scone-Brioche hybrid, aptly named the Scioche™ is launching and we can’t wait to try it.
Blitzing baking boundaries, the Scioche™ combines an award-winning brioche recipe with the most loved elements of a traditional British scone to offer the best of both bakes.
The Scioche™ Original can be treated like a scone, served with cream, berries and jam, while the Sicilian Lemon & Poppy seed version offers added versatility as it can also be toasted and topped with savoury treats such as crabmeat, scallops or chorizo.
Invented by creative artisan bakers Speciality Breads, the official launch of the Scioche™ at the Blue Ivy, 4-6 North Hill, Colchester CO1 1DZ will take place on Friday 24th March.

The Blue Ivy Hotel is one of only two venues in the UK to have the exclusive sweet treat. The other is the uber-cool London café My Place Soho.
